About the role

Join the growing team at The Little Unicorn Early Education & Preschool Centres' as a Certificate III Trainee, working part-time or full-time in our centres located across Newcastle, Maitland & Hunter NSW. This is an excellent opportunity to kick-start your career in the rewarding field of early childhood education and care.

What you'll be doing

  1. Providing high-quality care and educational experiences for children aged 0-5 years
  2. Supporting the implementation of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standard
  3. Assisting with the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities and play-based learning
  4. Developing positive relationships with children, families and the wider community
  5. Ensuring a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment for all children
  6. Completing training and assessments to obtain your Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care

What we're looking for

  1. A genuine passion for working with young children and helping them to learn and grow
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  3. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team
  4. Enthusiasm, creativity and a positive attitude
  5. A willingness to learn and undertake the required training
  6. A current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain one)
  7. Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
