The Opportunity

In this newly created role, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that our operations meet the highest standards. You'll be in the field, working closely with our operations team at our Brooklyn depot to maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. This role involves not only overseeing compliance but also directly engaging with teams in the field, demonstrating best practices in manual handling and safety. Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure safety and environmental regulations compliance.
• Investigate incidents, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
• Provide infield training and support to team members, promoting a strong safety culture and best practices.
• Assist with the implementation of compliance programs and safety initiatives to improve operational performance.
• Liaise with contractors and ensure compliance with safety requirements during their on-site activities.
• Report on compliance metrics, analyze trends, and identify areas for improvement. 

About You

• Experience in a compliance, safety, or environmental role, ideally in a field-based position.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, environmental standards, and compliance practices.
• High attention to detail and the ability to identify and address compliance issues proactively.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to conduct training and engage with team members at all levels.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
