Powder Coater

Alucoat Australia is a 100% Australian-owned and operated powder coating business, established in 1996. We are seeking an experienced Powder Coater or an individual who is very keen to become a powder coater to join our team in Reservoir.

About the Role:

As a Powder Coater, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality finishes. You'll work with a team dedicated to craftsmanship and precision, using advanced powder coating techniques to ensure smooth, durable coatings on products.

Key Responsibilities:

Apply powder coating using manual and automated techniques to ensure a consistent, high-quality finish on all products.

Prepare surfaces and parts by cleaning, sanding, and masking to guarantee optimal powder adhesion, ensuring no defects or imperfections in the coating.

Monitor and adjust equipment settings, such as spray guns and curing ovens, to maintain accurate thickness, coverage, and uniformity throughout the coating process.

Inspect finished products for quality, identifying any inconsistencies or flaws, and performing touch-ups or reworks as necessary to meet strict quality standards.

Ensure all powder coating materials are stored and handled properly to prevent contamination and extend product lifespan.

Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow, minimise downtime, and meet production deadlines.

Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including the proper disposal of waste materials and the regular maintenance of powder coating equipment.

Adhere to workplace safety procedures, wearing appropriate PPE, and following all safety protocols to minimise risk and ensure a safe working environment for all employees.

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience as a Powder Coater or similar role.

Familiarity with powder coating equipment and materials.

Strong attention to detail and quality standards.

Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift throughout the workday.

Good communication skills and a team player attitude.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33.00 – $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
