Heavy Vehicle Mechanic

Crawfords is seeking an experienced and trade qualified HV Mechanic to join our Gracemere team on a permanent full-time basis.

Crawfords Freightlines (Crawfords) is a privately owned and operated company that provides integrated intermodal freight transportation services operating in road, rail and warehousing. Crawfords operate a network of depots across Eastern Australia.

We have an opportunity for an experienced trade qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team. The position is based at our Gracemere depot and will be responsible for safe & effective repairs and maintenance of equipment such as heavy rigid vehicles, trailers, loaders and top-loader forklifts.

About you:

• Experience in repairs and maintenance on American and European vehicles, trailers and container handling equipment

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Present well and be punctual to work

• Understanding and practice of WHS requirements

• Current Drivers licence or ability to obtain a HR licence

• Forklift licence or willingness to obtain

• The ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and random Drug & Alcohol testing
