Economics / Business Studies Teacher

Commencing Term 1, 2026 / Full-time / Permanent

What is the Role?

The School is looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and experienced Economics / Business Studies teacher to join the Humanities team of committed and professional staff. This is a full-time, permanent position, commencing Term 1, 2026.

Who will the successful applicant be?

  • Recent experience in teaching HSC Economics / Business Studies and/or IB Business Management across Years 11 and 12
  • Ability to teach Stage 5 elective Commerce
  • Willingness to teach Stages 4 and 5 History and Geography
  • Enthusiasm for their subject and the ability to inspire senior secondary age students
  • Knowledge of recent developments in the theory and practice of  secondary pedagogy and specifically how this applies to their subject area
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the rest of the HSIE team
  • Confidence in the use of technology and a willingness to embrace it to enhance learning in the classroom
  • An understanding of and commitment to the School's Christian mission, values and ethos

Experience in teaching International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP) would be an advantage.
