A UK-based, high-growth AML (Anti-Money Laundering) compliance SaaS platform with a 40% market share among the UK's top law firms. With backing from top-tier VCs and a product known as the "gold standard" in AML, our client are expanding into Australia to support law firms and other regulated entities through a sweeping wave of compliance reform.

Australia's mid-market legal sector is largely unprepared for these changes. Our client is here to change that - using technology, education, and smart partnerships to modernise AML compliance in Australia.

The Role

As one of the first hires in the region - you will play a critical role in launching a UK based
LegalTech SaaS
business in Australia, executing against the 0-1 challenges associated with new country launches, and thinking strategically about the longer-term GTM.

This is not a 'traditional' role; this is a highly autonomous and hands-on role for someone who thrives in delivering GTM structure and commercial impact across go-to-market, marketing, sales and business operations. You'll be driving brand awareness, generating demand, and building a strong partner ecosystem - while ensuring we have the right materials, ICP definition and messaging, and operational infrastructure in place to deliver impact.

Today, you may be leading growth or revenue in a startup, executing a high-growth GTM motion for a scale-up, or wearing multiple hats having successfully launched a new region.

What matters most is your ability to thrive in ambiguity, build from first principles, and make things happen - fast.

You will be responsible for:

  • Executing the go-to-market strategy for Australia in collaboration with the UK Exec team
  • Building brand awareness and market presence through a multi-threaded
  • marketing/GTM strategy
  • Attracting, closing and managing first tranche of customers
  • Localising positioning, messaging, and materials for the Australian market
  • Laying the operational foundation to support successful market entry and
  • growth
  • Acting as a key connector - developing relationships with local partners,
  • clients, and influencers
  • Wearing multiple hats - contributing across sales, onboarding, and support as needed to deliver impact

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience marketing to regulated industries (e.g. legal, banking, accountancy) or understanding AML/Tranche 2 reforms.
  • LegalTech, FinTech ReTech experience
  • You've been successful in a first in region role
