We currently have the opportunity for a Civil Engineer to join our Infrastructure and Liveability team.
In the role of Civil Engineer with us, you'll lead council's project development, design and delivery process for projects including:
- Project development, investigation and design along with project scoping and development of initial project management documentation
- Design development as well as design consultant management for preparation of design documents
- Preparation of contract plans, specifications and procurement documents for construction and administer the project procurement process
- Provision of efficient and effective project management services to deliver capital new and/or renewal infrastructure projects from inception to handover for operation
- Preparation of detailed reports for engineering construction work including work as executed information for asset accounting
- Engagement with customers and investigating issues and complaints to understand requests for assistance and advise on potential solutions
- Management of Council's survey services
- Provide your expertise and innovation in relation to the sections services
- Proactively participate in the continuous improvement of organisational performance and culture.
What we offer...
- Permanent full-time role, 35 hours per week
- Commencing annual salary from $107,596 to $118,625
(salary is dependent on qualifications, skills and experience) - Progressive annual salary up to $130,784
- 3.5% civil liability allowance
- Plus 11.5 % superannuation

What you'll need to be successful in the role...
- A Degree in Civil Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia
- Experience in the investigation, assessment and reporting of engineering matters
- Experience in the survey and design of roads, traffic and parking facilities, stormwater drainage systems and public infrastructure
- Experience in civil engineering and civil design software
- Project Management experience in civil engineering works
- The ability to achieve strict deadlines for multiple projects whilst engaging diverse stakeholders, preparing detailed cost estimates, risk assessments, and project management plans
- Experience in procurement and contract management for engineering consultancies and contractors
- Experience in the preparation of plans, specifications and procurement documentation
- Experience in community engagement as a part of design development
- Experience with local government procurement processes and Security of Payment Act
- SafeWork NSW Traffic Control Work Training (TCWT) Prepare a work zone traffic management plan (or a commitment to achieve)
- A minimum Class C Driver's Licence.
