The OpportunityWe're seeking an experienced and passionate HSEQ Advisor to join our Bathurst team. Reporting to the HSEQ Manager, this pivotal role will lead and coordinate Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, Quality, and Sustainability (HSEEQ) initiatives across our Bathurst site while also providing support our broader operations.

As part of a collaborative and values-driven organisation, you'll play a key role in fostering a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with ISO and voestalpine minimum standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that make a lasting impact.

  • Champion and embed the company's HSEQ culture, ensuring all employees and contractors work safely and responsibly.
  • Lead safety, environmental, and quality investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Coordinate HSEQ training, inductions, and toolbox talks across site teams.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with WHS, ISO, and company standards.
  • Develop and implement health and wellbeing initiatives that support an engaged and resilient workforce.
  • Facilitate HSEQ Committee meetings and ensure actions are completed and communicated effectively.
  • Collaborate with leaders to drive continuous improvement and align practices with company values.
  • Support rehabilitation and return-to-work programs in partnership with HR.

About YouTo be successful for this role with our team, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a HSEQ-related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in manufacturing, engineering or rail environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge of WHS legislation and Codes of Practice.
  • Proven experience in ISO management systems and certification.
  • A self-starter who can take initiative, with the ability to prioritise work, meet project deadlines, and manage conflicting and changing priorities, in line with business objectives and targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and drive performance against strategic plans, provide mentorship and to champion a proactive and solutions-focused safety culture.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to partner with people at all levels in the organisation, provide clear advice, coach, and influence team members.
