Strathfield Hotel is a vibrant licensed hotel offering dining, entertainment and gaming facilities. We are committed to providing a safe, responsible, and welcoming environment for patrons, and are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Gaming Attendant to join our team.

Position Overview

As a Bar Attendant, you will:

  • Serve alcoholic beverages to guest within RSA guidelines
  • Assist guests with processing Tab and Keno transactions (e.g. cashing tickets, placing bets)
  • Assist guest with checking into our 38 rooms of accommodation
  • Be present at all times in the bar, monitor patron behaviour
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant gaming laws, policies, and harm minimisation practices
  • Promote responsible gambling practices
  • Maintain accurate records and registers for excluded persons, incidents, etc.
  • Collaborate with other staff (Gaming, floor staff) to maintain a safe venue environment

You will have an essential role in ensuring that our day to day operations run smoothly, ethically, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Requirements / Certifications

You must hold (or be willing to obtain) the following certifications:

  • RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) — required for working in a licensed venue serving alcohol
  • RCG (Responsible Conduct of Gambling) — required by NSW for anyone whose duties involve gambling

If you don't yet hold these credentials, we encourage you to enroll (through a Liquor & Gaming NSW Approved Training Provider) and complete them.

Additional preferred qualifications:

  • Previous experience in bar / gaming / hospitality / customer service
  • Good conflict resolution and interpersonal skills
  • Strong observation skills and integrity
  • Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
