An experienced Locksmith is required to work across a blue chip client base.

About the Role

We're seeking 2 x experienced qualified locksmiths with strong experience in commercial maintenance and construction projects.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Electronic locks, mortise locks, electric strikes
  • Regularly check mechanical and electronic locks to ensure proper function and security.
  • Maintain hinges, locks, latches, and door closers to prevent wear and ensure smooth operation.
  • Diagnose faults in keypads, card readers, electric strikes, and mortise locks.
  • Change lock combinations for security upgrades or tenant turnover.

  • Swap out faulty cylinders, handles, or strike plates as needed.

  • Ensure master key hierarchies are intact and updated for commercial buildings.

  • Program and maintain digital systems, including user permissions and audit logs.
  • Provide timely support for access issues or security breaches.
  • Keep detailed logs of work performed, parts used, and system updates.

  • Coordinate with building management and contractors working alongside FDC, Wormald, Chubb, Johnson Controls and Honeywell teams to ensure integrated security solutions.

  • Collaborate in toolbox meetings

Requirements

  • Must be a qualified locksmith
  • You will be an Australian Citizen
  • Experience with commercial systems and electronic locking hardware
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
