About KHI Partners
KHI Partners is a well-established, forward-thinking Chartered Accounting and multi-disciplinary practice with Senior Management from a Big 4 background. With 33 Partners and 164 team members across offices in Sydney, Gold Coast, Cairns and the UK, we are proud of our collaborative culture and strong client relationships. Our expansion plans include a move into New Zealand by 2026.
We are known for servicing sophisticated clients with extensive investment property portfolios, and we go beyond compliance – we offer strategic, advisory-driven solutions that make a real impact.
Your New Career
This is a Senior Accountant role where you will manage your own client base autonomously, work directly with an extensive range of businesses & individual clients, and take ownership of client outcomes. You'll be supported by experienced Partners and a talented team, but you'll be trusted to run your portfolio independently, including all client-facing responsibilities.
We offer a clear and structured pathway to Partnership, and the chance to join international secondments to our UK office or other global locations as we grow. This is not a back-office role — it's for someone ready to lead, consult, and grow with us.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage your own portfolio of diverse clients independently
- Be the main point of contact for clients, providing strategic advice and high-quality services
- Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, BAS, SMSFs, and complex compliance tasks
Collaborate on high-level advisory work including:
Personal Tax and Business Accounting
- Lending and Finance
- Asset protection
- Succession & estate planning
- Tax planning and structuring
- Due diligence
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to firm-wide projects
- Participate in Partner-led strategic initiatives and client meetings
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for a Senior Accountant with:
- 7+ years' experience in public practice
- Proven experience in client-facing and autonomous roles
- Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- A desire to grow into leadership and potentially a future Partner
Bonus:
If you bring 13–14+ years of experience, we're happy to offer a higher salary band based on your skill set and value.
Requirements
- CA/CPA qualified
- Australian working rights (no restrictions)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Experience with MYOB, Xero, BGL Super, and cloud-based systems
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
What We Offer
- $100K–$150K salary package (more for highly experienced candidates)
- Clear and supported pathway to partnership
- International secondment opportunities in time (UK and more)
- Autonomous role with high-impact work
- Leadership mentoring from experienced Partners
- Supportive and social team culture
- Emphasis on well-being and work-life balance
- Office near public transport and easy free parking
