About Avaana

Avaana provides a professional service that supports existing and aspiring businesses to become NDIS registered providers ). Avaana assists disability support workers, allied health practitioners, builders and others to obtain NDIS registration.

The role

You will be a final-year law student, law graduate, lawyer, paralegal or legal secretary.

You will "run the show" with respect to your clients and guide aspiring NDIS businesses through the whole NDIS application process.

We will teach you everything you need to know about the NDIS application process and provide you with the relevant NDIS industry knowledge to excel in this unique role.

Key responsibilities

You will:

  • Interview NDIS provider applicants and gather important information from them and talk them through the NDIS application process by following a structured interview guide
  • Guide NDIS provider applicants in relation to the documentation collection process
  • Review and amend template policy documentation
  • Make changes to policy documentation based on client and audit advice
  • Prepare NDIS provider applicants for the compulsory NDIS Audit
  • Monitor and respond to email correspondence
  • Set up NDIS-related accounts and dashboards
  • Manage a virtual administrative assistant who will serve as your direct report
  • Speak to clients in relation to the NDIS application process
  • Write professional email correspondence
  • Review and amend template documentation to ensure it is accurate and meets clients needs
  • Manage all clients through our online practice management tool from the initial interview to audit.

About you

We're looking for people who are:

  • Willing to learn the NDIS provider application process
  • Possess a genuine interest for working in professional services or the disability sector
  • Possess a clear, confident and professional phone manner with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have excellent administrative, filing and project management skills
  • Are friendly, personable and enthusiastic.
  • Hold a law degree or equivalent qualification as a law graduate
  • Authorised to work in Australia at the time of application

With a hands-on mentality and strong communication skills, you will possess the ability to work well autonomously and in a team. You will be motivated to go the extra mile.

This is a fully remote position with the ability to work from home.
