About the role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Excavator Operator to join our team at the Scott Brady Group. As a Excavator Operator, you will play a vital role in our construction operations at our site at the Port of Brisbane, QLD. This is a full-time position, offering a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

What you'll be doing

  • Safely operating an excavator on various construction sites to load, move and place materials
  • Performing routine maintenance and inspections on the excavator to ensure optimal performance
  • Reading and interpreting site plans, to complete tasks efficiently
  • Communicating effectively with the construction crew and supervisors to coordinate operations
  • Adhering to all safety protocols and environmental regulations on the job site
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to continuous improvement efforts

What we're looking for

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as an Excavator Operator in the construction industry
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications, such as a Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations
  • Demonstrated ability to operate excavators safely and efficiently
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality work
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to pass a pre-employment medical examination
