We're seeking a Project Engineer to support the design and delivery of cutting-edge stand-alone solar and battery storage systems across exciting EPC projects in Western Australia.

This role is perfect for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer with a passion for clean energy and a strong background in SCADA, control systems, and renewable energy integration.

Responsibilities:

  • Participating in design and development electrical power systems for solar PV, battery (BESS), and EV charging projects.
  • Creating electrical drawings including schematics, general arrangements, and termination diagrams.
  • Producing project deliverables throughout the entire project life cycle including Inspection Test Plans, Factory and Site Acceptance Testing, Manufacturer's Data Report and Technical Manuals
  • Working with commissioning teams on FAT, SAT, ITPs, and ITRs, ensuring successful system deployment.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting power, control and monitoring hardware through all project stages.
  • Participating in design reviews including SID, HAZOP, CHAZOP, HAZID, CRAW and client presentations.
  • Liaising with external partners and internal delivery teams to drive projects to completion.
  • Ensuring compliance with AS/NZS 4509, AS5033, AS5139 & AS/NZS 3000.
  • Collaborating with engineers and stakeholders to meet project requirements and delivery milestones.

About You:

  • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Proven experience in solar PV, battery/BESS, and EV charging infrastructure.
  • Knowledge in control systems, SCADA, and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, OPC UA).
  • Strong understanding of Australian electrical standards and compliance processes.
  • Excellent technical drawing and documentation skills.
  • A team player with strong collaboration and communication skills.
