We are looking for a Junior or Intermediate Bookkeeper to join our busy family owned Accounting Firm based in Midland.

We are looking for someone with some experience in a similar role, however extensive training will be offered to the right candidate. The successful candidate will have great attention to detail, good time management skills, be able to work unsupervised, have some experience in the use of accounting applications such as Xero and MYOB, have a good basic understanding of Accounting principles. While we are looking at starting someone Part Time, we will also consider a Full Time role for the right candidate.

This role involves Bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients, each job varies so the successful candidate must be organised and able to follow processes and stick to deadlines. The role includes the following duties:

  • Monthly and Quarterly IAS and BAS preparation
  • Monthly and Quarterly Superannuation preparation
  • Daily bank reconciliations in accounting software
  • Managing client Accounting data files end to end
  • End of Month and EOFY reconciliations
  • Payroll and associated setup/reconciliations
  • Setup of Xero files and assistance to clients when needed
  • Liase directly with clients
