CMBM Facility Services is a well-established, Queensland-owned and operated company, currently experiencing strong growth across the state. We specialise in facility services and commercial cleaning, delivering reliable, high-quality solutions to a broad range of clients.
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Full Time 2IC (Cleaner) to join our team at Boyne Smelters – Rio Tinto (BSL), Boyne Island. This role will support the Site Supervisor in leading our on-site team and step up when the Supervisor is not available.
Roster
Monday to Friday | 7:00 am – 2:30 pm
Sign-On Bonus Opportunity – Up to $800
- $400 bonus after 3 months of employment
- $400 bonus upon successful completion of probation
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Site Supervisor in managing and supervising cleaners.
- Lead daily pre-start meetings and toolbox talks when required.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure high cleaning standards.
- Train, induct, and allocate tasks to new and existing staff.
- Monitor stock, equipment, and consumables and request replacements as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and client expectations at all times.
- Address and resolve service issues and escalate where necessary.
- Comply 100% with all site rules, policies, and procedures.
- Deliver cleaning services as per agreed scopes of work and service agreements.
- Report any safety or serviceability issues with equipment and tools.
- Perform general housekeeping cleaning duties as required e.g., mopping and scrubbing hard flooring and tiled areas, class cleaning, kitchen / staff facilities cleaning, toilet and washroom cleaning and consumable replenishment, emptying bins etc.
- Follow all CMBM and client-specific safety procedures.
About You
- Previous commercial or industrial cleaning experience (supervisory experience highly regarded).
- Current Driver's Licence (essential).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive medical (QAL/RTAY/BSL) including drug and alcohol testing.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to support and guide a team.
- High level of reliability, initiative, and time management.
- Physically fit (able to lift up to 25kg, bend, walk, push, pull, and work with cleaning chemicals).
- Certificate III in Cleaning Operations (desirable but not essential).
