Funeral Director

Newhaven Funerals North Queensland is a Trusted Funeral Home our team make the process of saying goodbye to loved ones that little bit easier.

We are looking for a full time Funeral Director who wants to be part of our team. This is a Monday to Friday role with the ability to participate in the oncall roster.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting police and hospital transfers (requires physical strength and fitness)
• Assisting with mortuary duties
• Meeting with families to arrange funeral services
• Coordinating and managing cremation processes
• Maintaining cleanliness and presentation of facilities
• Operating AV and technical equipment during services
• Ensuring high attention to detail in all aspects of the role
• Collaborating effectively as part of a supportive team

The ideal candidate is:

• Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks
• Tech-savvy and comfortable with audio-visual equipment
• Possesses a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• A reliable team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Previous experience in the funeral industry is highly regarded
