Position: Youth Support Worker (Casual)

Location: Toowoomba, QLD

What You'll Be Doing
  • Building trusting relationships with young people through one-on-one mentoring
  • Facilitating fun and purposeful activities that promote life skills, confidence, and wellbeing
  • Collaborating with families, schools, therapeutic supports, and community partners to provide holistic care
  • Keeping clear and accurate records to support the ongoing development of our programs
  • Being a positive role model and advocate for the young people in our care
What You Bring
  • Qualifications in Youth Work, Community Services, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
  • A minimum of Certificate IV level qualification is required
  • Experience working with young people in residential, community, or youth development settings
  • A minimum of 1 year experience working with young people is required
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport and trust
  • A deep understanding of the challenges faced by First Nations youth and a commitment to empowerment and inclusion
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • A current driver's licence, and willingness to complete a National Police Check and Working with Children Check
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position
