About the role

As the People & Culture Manager at Weidmuller Pty Ltd, you'll bring a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, along with over 10 years of HR. You'll have a strong understanding of Australian employment laws and HR best practices, and demonstrate excellent communication, recruitment, and problem-solving skills. AHRI membership is highly regarded.

This part-time role (2–3 days per week) offers the opportunity to lead the full HR function in a growing business, covering recruitment, training, compensation, employee relations, and compliance, while fostering a positive and high-performing team culture.

What you will be doing

  • Workforce Planning & Recruitment

    Develop and execute recruitment strategies aligned with business growth. Manage job postings, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and support onboarding to ensure smooth integration of new hires.
  • Training & Talent Development

    Assess training needs and implement programs that support employee growth, from onboarding to upskilling and career development. Champion a culture of continuous learning.
  • Compensation & Benefits

    Design and maintain competitive and fair compensation structures. Ensure benefits are aligned with market standards and internal equity.
  • Employee Relations & Engagement

    Manage employment contracts and ensure compliance with the Fair Work Act and other relevant legislation. Address grievances and disciplinary matters professionally. Promote team-building and open communication to enhance employee engagement.
  • HR Compliance & Records

    Maintain accurate employee records in line with privacy laws. Ensure the business meets all legal and regulatory HR obligations, including reporting to government bodies.

What we're looking for

  • A bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 10+ years of HR experience, ideally within a small to mid-sized Australian company
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment laws and HR best practices
  • Excellent communication, recruitment, and problem-solving skills
  • High integrity, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset
  • AHRI membership or similar HR certification (preferred)
