Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world.  In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland's Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in Northwest Queensland and Western Australia.

Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join our team at Capcoal Lake Lindsay Mine. You will be a great and flexible team player and enjoy contributing to a positive and safety focused work environment. Key accountabilities;

• Inspect, diagnose, service and repair of Field equipment (Excavators, Drills, pumps.
• Utilise computerised maintenance management systems; (SAP desirable)
• Maintaining a high level of housekeeping.
• Undertaking training and upskilling as required.
• Attending to breakdowns and problem diagnosing.
• Scheduled maintenance and installations.
• Experience with fault finding.
• Work independently where required but within a team environment.
• Experience in facilitating and participating in job risk assessment

Qualifications

To be successful in this role ideally you will have:

• Current recognised Australian Electrical Trade Certificate (Cert III in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent)
• Hold a current Australian Manual Drivers Licence
• A/C Licence
