Ballarat, Victoria, Australia Porter Plant Full time $120,000 - $180,000 per year

Newly created role | Report to CFO | Drive commercial insights

Broad FP&A scope | National business | Industry-leading brands

About the Company

Part of Kamamoto Inc. since 2020, the Porter Group is a growing national business with trusted brands including Porter Plant and Madica. We've built strong relationships across a wide range of industries and are entering an exciting phase of expansion — opening new branches and broadening our service offerings.

To support this growth, we're creating a new Financial Planning & Analysis Manager role — reporting directly to the CFO and working across the business to drive insight-led decision-making.

About the Role

This is a strategic, hands-on role leading the FP&A function. You'll play a critical part in shaping the Group's financial planning, performance reporting, and commercial decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes across the Group
  • Deliver high-quality financial modelling and performance analysis
  • Prepare clear reporting and dashboards for the executive team, with insights and recommendations
  • Partner with business units to analyse performance, support decisions, and identify efficiencies
  • Drive process and system improvements across planning and reporting tools (incl. Power BI)
  • Ensure strong data integrity within ERP and reporting platforms
  • Support ad hoc financial projects and audit processes as required

About You

We're looking for a commercially minded finance professional with strong FP&A experience and the confidence to work with senior leaders. You'll bring:

  • At least 5 years' experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or management accounting
  • Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Strong Excel modelling skills; Power BI experience is highly regarded
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar (CA/CPA preferred)
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder management experience
  • A proactive, analytical mindset and a passion for continuous improvement
  • Experience with ERP systems and data governance best practices

What's on Offer
  • Newly created role – make your mark in a growing business
  • Direct line to CFO – real influence on strategic decision-making
  • Diverse, national group – with strong brands and a growth mindset
  • Supportive team culture – committed to continuous improvement
