The Role
The successful candidate will support the ongoing maintenance teams on project and manage HSE requirements ensuring compliance is followed and in line with Ampol and Wood's policies and procedures.
Be a vital part of a team that produces and distributes refined oil in the energy sector within Brisbane, the greater Queensland region and Australia.

For 10+ years, Wood has held a Maintenance contract at the Lytton Refinery in Brisbane, Australia and have been heavily imbedded into the Ampol culture with a strong focus on team alignment across the contracting teams.
Our team of engineers, planners, supervisors, team leads, quality control, contract management, mechanical and electrical technicians, logistics, payroll, site administration, project management and human resourcing are committed in producing and distributing petroleum and fuel safely and efficiently to customers and stakeholders.

Ensuring HSE is at the forefront of employee's thoughts
- Actively engage and communicate with operations and the maintenance teams to educate on HSE matters
- Contribute to HSE performance reporting and delivery of strategic initiatives
- Ensuring safe operational practices, processes, employee education and training
- Ensure site compliance by performing regular assurance and audit activities,
- Engage with operational staff to identify and manage high risk activities,
- Conduct site inductions, including pre-starts and toolbox talks.

Expected:
- A minimum 3 - 5 years' HSE experience, ideally in a lead role
- Demonstrated leadership in supporting a learning and generative culture
- A formal qualification in health and safety
- Demonstrated experience working on maintenance and construction projects
- Previous experience working in energy or industrial services environment would be an advantage
- Relevant experience in Root Cause, Tap Root or ICAM investigation methodologies.
