About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a proactive and experienced individual to lead our Canberra Depot. We're seeking a hands-on leader with a solid background in sales and operations, strong communication skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.

As Depot Manager, you will take full ownership of depot performance. In addition to overseeing day-to-day operations and leading a small team, you will play a key role in driving local sales growth and identifying new business opportunities to expand our market presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively explore new sales opportunities and foster relationships with prospective clients
  • Manage daily depot operations across warehouse, logistics, and customer service functions
  • Lead, support, and motivate depot staff to meet performance targets and uphold service standards
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound deliveries to ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Monitor inventory levels, stock rotation, and conduct regular stocktakes
  • Ensure depot compliance with WHS regulations and company policies
  • Provide hands-on assistance in warehouse activities when required
  • Maintain accurate depot reporting and administrative records
  • Collaborate closely with internal sales teams to support business development in the region

What We're Looking For

  • Sales experience or business development exposure in automotive battery industry is essential
  • Proven leadership experience in a warehouse, logistics, or depot environment
  • Current forklift licence; MR truck licence is an advantage
  • Strong customer service skills and a solutions-focused approach
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and communication skills
  • Physical capability to handle batteries and warehouse duties
  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety
