The opportunity

Elastomers Australia currently have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and practical Senior HSE Advisor to join our growing team in Perth. With the support of the National HSE team you will be a leader in driving compliance, providing expert guidance, and implementing best practice safety initiatives across both client mine sites and company branches.

This is a hands-on multifaceted role where you'll play a key part in shaping a proactive safety culture and ensuring a safe working environment for all stakeholders.

Duties

As a Senior HSE Advisor, you will:

  • Conduct regular mine site visits to ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures and legislative requirements and the provision of reports to our customers
  • Responsible for providing advice to all stakeholders on all matters related to health, safety and the environment whilst ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation
  • Implement and maintain safety protocols across the Perth branch and its warehouse operations by working closely with supervisors, technicians and management
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate workplace risks through regular inspections, audits, and hazard reporting
  • Lead incident investigations by helping in the identification of root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Assist with the facilitation of in-house training in relation to OHS, health & well-being and legislation policy and procedure changes
  • Promote a proactive safety culture across all levels of the organisation in line with the National safety approach

About you

You're a confident, solutions-focused safety professional who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about creating safer workplaces. You bring:

  • Minimum Certificate IV in OH&S
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar or relevant role
  • TAE 40122 Trainer Assessor (desirable)
  • Exposure to OHS reporting systems (MyOSH desirable)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills to identify risks, implement solutions, and improve safety outcomes
  • Working knowledge of OH&S legislation, WA mining related legislation and industry best practices
  • Working knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Act & Work Health and Safety Regulations (Mines) and similar legislation in other states
  • Flexibility to travel to mine sites (FIFO required)
  • Have the right to work in Australia
