About us

KVAC Industries is a delivery contractor working on the NBN Project. We are looking to expand and diversify into all aspects of the next stage of the Australian NBN N2P & ODM rollout including rodding, roping, scoping, vac truck work, asset locating, validations, conduit blockage jetting, civils and new fibre lead ins to end users.

Qualifications & experience

  • Experience working on the Telstra/NBN Telecommunications network preferred, however not essential.
  • Must have drivers licence.
  • NBN Enable Card (Advantageous)
  • Traffic Management Level 2. (Desirable)
  • First Aid & CPR within 12 months validity. (Or willing to attain)
  • Clear Police Check within the last 6 months. (Or willing to attain)
  • Vac truck/trailer NDD and Jetting experience (Advantageous)
  • ABN PREFERRED $50/h FLAT RATE for Ongoing Contract - Employees considered at a lower rate full time.
  • Telstra Pit Replacement/Excavator Ticket/Grundomat Experience (Advantageous)
  • Strong Safety Aptitude with willingness to implement

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Able to work away from home for periods of time. (All work is away) Mostly N.S.W, A.C.T working 12-14 days on, 4-7 days off.

  • Rodding, Roping & Scoping Telstra telecommunications network, minor underground conduit blockage repair/dig downs.

  • Live updating and data entry on work tablets (Must have smart phone)
  • Assisting with vacuum truck, conduit jetting, pit clean outs, civils and pit installations.
  • Prioritising site specific safety practices & procedures
  • Literacy skills & the ability to read and understand network plans
  • Civil work, trenching, pit replacements and conduit repairs/installations.
  • Must be STRONG/FIT, RELIABLE, WILLING TO LEARN, HARD WORKING with a "CAN DO" work attitude for a fast paced role working as an offsider to the company owner/operator.
