In this role, you will help to drive the Australia region in developing and delivering, innovative marketing activity, that inspires consumer engagement, maximizes commercial impact and drives brand positioning. This role requires a pro-active, experienced marketing manager, with a significant amount of brand marketing experience, commercial awareness, trade marketing alignment and a passion for integrated brand-building in the luxury space.
The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking, high-energy marketeer, who is agile, and self-starting. They will have strong communication skills and an analytical mindset, comfortable presenting information clearly and concisely at all levels across the organization.
The role requires a blend of marketing, communications, social media, digital marketing experience. Diligent project management, and an ability to self-prioritize is key, while also maintaining unparalleled attention to detail.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Partner closely with the wider marketing teams to develop and execute clear and compelling integrated marketing plans to drive brand awareness, incremental sales growth, and positive brand attributes.
- Build and present strong briefs to global and key business partners as well as cascading to teams.
- Collaborate across multiple projects, partnering with agencies and in-house teams to drive stand out regional marketing activity.
- Identify and maintain relationships with local influencer talent to grow a strong social community for the brand.
- Organize and execute luxury brand events & experiences integrating Hourglass products and services.
- Cultivate relationships with local fashion, art & design and travel communities to infuse Hourglass into the Australian culture based on approved Global partners.
- Partner with Open Sell and DTC teams to amplify the Hourglass message.
- Lead product launches in the market, working closely with local agencies to execute successfully.
- Within Open Sell manage the sampling, secondary exposures, and marketing calendar.
- Champion the regional consumer, help build and execute integrated 360 regional marketing plans on an annual and seasonal basis, that align with the global marketing strategy, trade, brand / business objectives, and product calendar.
- Drive strategic & tactical regional planning and execution, budget allocation and management of larger scale special projects.
- Management of cross functional projects in partnership with marketing peers and support across the wider department function when required.
- Regularly align on marketing goals, product launches, and promotional activities, to ensure a fully comprehensive and strategic brand calendar, that delivers maximum impact.
- Conduct regular market analysis to understand consumer trends, competitive landscape, and retailer performance.
- Support all Australia marketing activities, as needed – establishing effective relationships, ensuring brand is top of mind and delivering all necessary content and activities to support goals.
- Bring a strong creative POV to global stories and craft compelling regional narratives.
- Provide regular KPI updates and recaps from local marketing initiatives, sharing successes and opportunities for improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 7 years of experience, significant brand and commercial experience gained in a fast-paced luxury retail or online retail environment (beauty/ fashion/ lifestyle is a preference).
- Proven experience of driving sales with a brand.
- University Degree preferred.
- Strong ability to motivate a team and influence cross-functionally. Must be an excellent communicator, natural networker, team player and highly organized.
- Strong analytical and project management skills with demonstrated ability to oversee development and execution of strategies.
- Comfortable navigating a dynamic business, with an innate ability to prioritize projects and adapt plans and direction as the business needs. Analytical, with experience tracking and reporting marketing campaigns and performance.
- Ability to travel.
- Familiarity with building brands within Australia region and strong understanding of necessary execution plans.
