Drive Queensland's growth as EDQ's Commercial Manager

Join Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of housing, infrastructure, and economic development across the state. As Commercial Manager within our Development Services division, you'll provide strategic financial leadership and commercial insights that enable transformative projects at scale and pace.

In This Role, You Will

  • Support the Chief Infrastructure & Planning Officer and senior leaders with financial advice, analysis, and information, focusing on enhancing the business unit's long-term financial strategy, objectives, and initiatives.
  • Partner with senior leaders to deliver robust financial strategies and advice that underpin long-term objectives.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis across diverse projects and funding programs.
  • Assess commercial viability, risk, and recoverability models to ensure sustainable outcomes.
  • Embed strong governance frameworks and financial controls to maintain integrity and compliance.
  • Influence decision-making through clear, impactful analytical reporting and advice on transaction structures and delivery approaches.
  • Prepare material for advice, reports, briefing notes, board papers, submissions and funding proposals.
