We operate through two key divisions: Community Services, which provides life skills, in-home care, and community access support, and Social Enterprise, which creates employment opportunities for people from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Key responsibilities:

  • A comprehensive knowledge of environmental operations and how this relates to the production process
  • Lead and support the team and maintain a safe and inclusive working environment
  • Coordinate resource recovery to maximise reduction of waste to landfill and increase sales, meeting site targets
  • Assisting in the provision of staff training when required
  • Take responsibility for recycled material movement around the site using appropriate plant and equipment.
  • Work with the general public either on transfer station, gatehouse or market shop
  • Assisting the public with purchasing items and when necessary
  • Ensuring all team members on the transfer station are compliant with Outlooks policies and procedures
  • Effective communication and customer service skills

What we are looking for:

  • Experience with staff supervision and management
  • Experience with tools and equipment
  • Ability to problem solve in difficult situations
  • A friendly and approachable personality
  • Good customer service skills
  • Reliable, punctual and willing to work hard
  • Adhering to safe work practices and following procedures
  • An excavator or loader ticket (desirable)
