Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a warm, friendly, and experienced Assistant/Kitchen Hand at Adria Care. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of food services to our residents. You will work alongside the care and support team to ensure that residents receive the highest quality in dining experience each time they receive meals.

ABOUT ADRIA CARE

Adria Care is a 42 resident aged care facility with 2 respite beds, that caters to a diverse range of multicultural residents, with a specific focus on the Croatian Community. Adria Retirement Village co-exists with Adria Care and has 36 villas.

Ideally you will have

• Experience as a Kitchen hand/ Catering Assistant in an aged care setting necessary
• Any level of kitchen hand/catering assistant experience in aged care is acceptable
• Experience in following comprehensive schedules and procedures
• An understanding of how to maintain a OH&S safe & clean environment for resident, staff and visitors
• Up to date Flu/COVID Vaccinations or willing to get

· Demonstrated high level interpersonal, oral and written communications skills

· Adhere to the Adria Care values.

· Washing and cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, plates, setting up trays and tables, and serving food, hot and cold beverages to residents.

· Wash, cut, and occasionally cook simple dishes on the menu, as well as assist in the preparation of sandwiches and salads.

· Completing all cleaning jobs listed on the cleaning schedule and maintaining a clean kitchen and dining area at all times.
