We are currently seeking a highly motivated and dedicated team player who has an eye for detail and a drive to 'get it done'.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed mechanical designs and drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
  • Manage and control the life cycle of design data using Autodesk Vault.
  • Prepare BOM and maintain them using Autodesk Vault PDM.
  • Design pressure vessels in compliance with ASME and AS1210 codes.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including BOMs, change requests, and ECO.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including BOMs, assembly instructions, and maintenance manuals.
  • Carry out and review Engineering calculations to ensure they are consistent with SMARDT's design intent and the applicable codes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during the manufacturing process.
  • Provide assistance to production related to design and BOM-related queries.
  • Carry out classical engineering calculations and generate calculation sheets.
  • Create 3D models, 2D drawings, Bills of Materials (BoMs), work instructions, and technical and commercial proposals as required.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications/Experience/Skills

  • A minimum of bachelor's degree required in Mechanical Engineering (essential)
  • To be a Chartered Engineer (CPEng)
  • Proficient in designing shell and tube heat exchangers.
  • Expertise in designing sheet metal and structural components.
  • Well-versed in designing HVAC systems.
  • Adept in conducting thermal analysis.
  • Experience with ASME and AS1210 Pressure Vessel Codes is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with ASHREA/ANSI/ASME codes and design requirements is desirable.
  • Experience with ASME (UHX) and TEMA for pressure vessel and heat exchanger design is required.
