It's no easy task, but nothing rewarding ever is.What You'll DoJoin Santos as anOperator Maintainer – Mechanical,located at Fairview Field on a 2 and 2 roster FIFO from Brisbane. You'll play a key role in ensuring the ongoing reliability and safety of our plant and field equipment. In this hands-on position, you'll be responsible for the safe execution of preventative and corrective maintenance tasks, supporting our Operations Teams with your technical expertise.Key ResponsibilitiesComplete scheduled compliance activities, aiming for >90% completionDemonstrate consistent safety-first behaviour, aligned with the Santos EHS vision and policyBe the point of contact for large jobs looking after a number of contractorsDeliver quality work. Getting it right the first timeProactively participate in embedded safety systems and champion improvements in safety cultureExecute daily scheduled maintenance safely and on time, with detailed close out reports in our computerised maintenance systemPlan and execute emergency and urgent work according to risk ranking protocolsInspect, test, adjust and repair mechanical equipment, meeting all relevant standards and proceduresInstall mechanical equipment using precision measurement tools, recording accurate dataTroubleshoot and resolve faults autonomously, demonstrating high-level fault-finding skillsCarry out "Critical Control Verifications" audits on maintenance activitiesActively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance systems and proceduresWhat You'll BringTrade-qualified Mechanical professional (Certificate Qualification essential)Significant experience in CSG environments, working with industry standards, systems and toolsHands-on experience with:Caterpillar gas engines, Ariel compressors, Howden screw compressors, Siemens gas turbines & TEG packagesRotating Equipment, Reciprocating Engines, CompressorsProficient with computerised E-Permit to work and Maintenance Management SystemsSkilled in HYTORQ, bolt stretching and flange management systemsExtensive knowledge in risk quantification, assessment and mitigation strategiesExperience working in live gas plants highly regardedAt Santos, we believe in safety, quality and continuous improvement.
