Hear and Say is a Queensland provider of audiology, speech pathology, listening and spoken language (LSL) therapy, and hearing screening. We are a non-for-profit organisation with specialist expertise in paediatrics. Our mission is to support people of all ages to hear, listen and speak.
This role will be responsible for:
Screening
· Providing a range of standardised screening audiological tests (otoscopy, tympanometry, audiometry) on children aged from 4 years and make recommendations based on the screening results.
· Should a child receive a high priority referral, follow up with the parents to discuss findings and recommended course of action.
· Generate accurate reports for schools and parents within required timeframes.
· Conduct quarterly clinical Audit reports to ensure all requirements are met.
· and general administrative duties.
· Communicate with relevant stakeholders, including teachers and parents, to explain various follow-up options and how to access Hear and Say's services with the view to book into our FREE Re-screen clinics.
· Ensure you follow appropriate work health and safety practices when performing duties either onsite or offsite locations.
General
· Comply with all company procedures and policies and applicable legislation, including but not limited to the code of conduct, workplace behavior policy, EEO and work health and safety legislation.
· Displays an active commitment towards company core purpose and values and promote and enhance the image of Hear and Say at all times.
· Any other tasks as directed by the Team Leader – School Screening and Professional Lead – Audiology.
