Role Description

This is a contract role for a Junior Software Engineer based in Sydney, NSW, with flexible hybrid working options, including some remote work. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the design, development, and maintenance of software solutions, including back-end web development. Day-to-day activities will include programming, debugging, testing, and improving applications. You will contribute to technical discussions, work collaboratively with team members, and ensure the efficient functionality of software systems.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundational knowledge in Computer Science principles, including algorithms and data structures
  • Experience in Back-End Web Development and Software Development
  • Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts
  • Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Hands-on experience with popular programming languages or frameworks (e.g., Java, Python, or C++)
  • Ability to adapt to a collaborative team environment and meet project deadlines
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Experience in securing software and familiarity with cybersecurity concepts is a plus
