About This Opportunity

This is a hands-on role, that is primarily responsible for ensuring the continual operation & effectiveness of all Plant & Equipment across the processing facility.

Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Promptly attend to plant and equipment breakdowns across the facility to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Develop and organise a preventive maintenance schedule.
  • Planning, coordination and execution of Capex projects
  • Scheduling and follow-up of work orders
  • Ensuring execution of planned maintenance activities - day-to-day, reactive, and planned work.
  • Coordinating spare parts and inventory with Maintenance Store Person
  • Manage and oversee appointed contractors visiting the site to undertake outsourced specialist services.
  • Manage site services and utilities to maximise uptime and ensure compliance with WHS, environmental and quality requirements.

About You

  • A currently qualified electrician.

  • Previous experience in automated food or beverage manufacturing environment, FMCG is highly regarded but not essential.

  • Knowledge of pneumatic systems, packaging machines, conveyors, ovens, flow wrappers.

  • Experience with stainless steel fabrication and TIG welding.

  • Experience with the MEX system and/or other CMMS software.

  • Exposure to PLC and variable speed drives is also advantageous.
