The Opportunity:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Microsoft Cloud Administrator to join our technology operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for the administration, support, and continuous improvement of our Microsoft cloud environment. This includes Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 services, and key infrastructure components that ensure the stability, security, and performance of our systems.

You'll play a pivotal role in maintaining production and non-production environments, supporting cloud operations, and implementing best practices for secure, scalable cloud infrastructure across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain Microsoft Azure services including Entra ID, virtual machines, storage, backups, and resource governance.
  • Provide operational support for Microsoft 365 workloads including Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Intune for device compliance and application management.
  • Manage on-premises and hybrid Active Directory, Group Policy, and integration with cloud identity services.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to Microsoft cloud infrastructure and associated services.
  • Maintain and support the Windows Server ecosystem (2016/2019) and user desktops (Windows 10/11) across the enterprise.
  • Assist with cloud-based security and compliance initiatives including SOC2 readiness and NIST/ACSC Essential Eight controls.
  • Facilitate regular patching and updates of Microsoft workloads and endpoints via Intune or other automated systems.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to support integrations with network systems and endpoint security solutions.
  • Oversee performance and availability monitoring for Azure and on-premises systems using dashboards, alerts, and reports.
  • Assist in cloud migration efforts and ongoing optimization of Azure workloads.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including runbooks, configuration baselines, architectural diagrams, and support guides.
  • Support the business through timely resolution of service tickets and proactive issue management within SLAs.
  • Contribute to the planning and rollout of cloud-based tools and services as part of broader strategic programs (e.g., Cloud Technologies Program, Cybersecurity Uplift Program).
  • Maintain Hyper-V and hybrid server infrastructure in coordination with broader cloud-first strategies.

What You Bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in administering Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 services in a business-critical environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure IaaS, Entra ID, Conditional Access, Intune, and identity lifecycle management.
  • Experience with Power Automate, PowerShell for automation and scripting.
  • Experience managing hybrid environments with integrated on-prem and cloud directory services.
  • Familiarity with compliance and cybersecurity frameworks (SOC2, NIST, ACSC Essential Eight).
  • Familiarity with ticket and service management tools, such as Atlassian products (JIRA, Confleunce)
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to write and maintain clear and effective documentation.
  • Microsoft certifications such as AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate) or MS-102 (Microsoft 365 Administrator)
