Excitingly, in March 2024, Cool Off announced the sale of the business to BHJ Pty Ltd. BHJ has a long history as an international supplier of meat and fish raw materials for both food and pet food industries. BHJ is headquartered in Denmark and is a subsidiary of The Lauridsen Group, Inc. (LGI), a US company. BHJ has processing facilities and offices in Asia, Europe, North America, South America, and Australasia where we employ a total of more than 1200 employees.

A combination of Cool Offs rapid growth in the past decade along with the increased global connectivity provide through BHJ, demands that we continue to service our supply partners as efficiently and sustainably as possible. The role:

Reporting to the Repairs and Maintenance Manager, and as an integral member of the Site Engineering and Maintenance team, the primary purpose of the role is to ensure the Electrical team are providing a service to the Cool Off business to maintain production efficiencies and solutions to improve process going forward.

In addition, all WHS and Compliance requirements must be recognised and followed in any works carried out by you and your team to ensure high standards are maintained and driven in a positive way.

In conjunction with the Maintenance Leading Hand and Maintenance Team, work plans are developed and scheduled considering site production requirements, equipment performance and labour availability.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Oversee the completion of Electrical Maintenance works, ensuring all work is completed in an efficient and timely manner that meets both industry and Cool Off's quality and safety standards

• Track and report monthly KPI's on preventative and reactive maintenance work through the sites computerised maintenance management system (CMMS), including labour utilisation, unplanned downtime, and budget control

• Work with the Production Team to develop and improve equipment process performance

• Selection and management of a variety of external contractors as and when needed

• Lead employees, allocate duties, provide direction on work, ensure the quality of works, monitor performance, plan and set out tasks, estimate timelines and meet deadlines

Skills, knowledge and experience requirements:

• Trade Qualified with experience in manufacturing

• Experience in leading a team within a maintenance department (desired)

• Sound knowledge of Maintenance Management Systems, with experience in developing and implementation of a site maintenance strategy

• Broad knowledge of Electrical systems

• Excellent communication skills and adaptability, with a pro-active leadership approach

• Experience in building collaborative teams and coaching them to achieve manufacturing excellence targets
