About the Role

Angel Seafood is looking for a full-time Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Coordinator to lead health and safety initiatives across our farming and processing sites. Based in Port Lincoln, this is a field-based role working closely with managers and team leaders to build a strong safety culture and ensure compliance across all operations.

You'll develop and deliver engaging safety training, manage injury prevention and return-to-work programs, and play a key role in continuous improvement and compliance.

What You'll Be Doing

Partner with managers and team leaders to drive safe work practices

Lead safety training and onboarding across farm and processing teams

Coordinate incident investigations, injury management and RTW plans

Monitor and maintain safety documentation and compliance systems

Support internal and external audits and drive corrective action plans

Assist with safety projects and change management initiatives

Contribute to building a proactive, engaged safety culture

For this role you will:

Engage & collaborate with Farm Managers, being proactive to achieve safety standards & practices

Work effectively across all sites, coordinating prevention, injury management & Return to Work programs, optimising productivity & employee well-being

Be accountable for documentation, incident & data analysis

Lead conduct of and analysis of reported hazards, incidents or near misses via the appropriate HSE system forms

Produce work to a standard consistent with Green Square, corporate & legislative requirements

Provide support to the People & Culture, Safety & Compliance Manager as required

Maintain documentation of HSE related information and its communication to all Team members.

Manage RTWSA Injury management, Claims management and Rehab/RTW obligations and initiatives to minimise incidents.

Coordinate internal / external HSE audits and develop plans to action.

Conduct or facilitate Training programs for new and existing Team members, including remote and online learning programs.

Work closely with the PCSC Manager to support the Team leaders with leadership principles and practices to enable them to grow their teams' capabilities.

REQUIREMENTS

Relevant qualifications in HSE or relevant field & Driver's licence

Comprehensive Workplace Health & Safety knowledge & experience

Well-developed communication skills with emphasis on presentation & instruction techniques

Diverse workplace experiences, ideally including aquaculture, food processing, logistics environments

Training, content design & development experience; experience delivering safety training delivery 'in situ'

LOCATIONS

Angel Seafood runs multi-bay operations across the Eyre Peninsula. Our site in Cowell is home for our spat nursery and year old juvenile stock before they are shipped out to our grow-out site at Haslam (near Streaky Bay), or onto Coffin Bay our finishing site.

This role is based in Port Lincoln, with the need for scheduled or unscheduled visits to the sites according to the need

Remuneration will be dependent on the role you take and reflect the skills and experience you bring to the company, with opportunities for training and career development in the Aquaculture Industry.
