As a member of the team at St Catherine's - Bathurst, you will be providing essential lifestyle, social and wellbeing services for our residents.
About The Role
- Encouraging resident choice and participation in individual and group activities
- Assisting in the design, delivery and monitoring of group and individual lifestyle services and activities
- Implementing innovative events and lifestyle activities for residents and where possible involving the wider community, volunteers and residents family and friends
- Provide direct resident care during activities such as bus trips, including assisting with personal hygiene and toileting
- Provide direct resident care in relation to meals service, mobility and social support
- Supporting your peers and maintaining a cooperative team spirit
- Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents closely following all policies and procedures
To be successful in this role you'll need
- A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
- Certificate III or Cert IV in Leisure and Health or Individual Support or similar
- Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families
- A reliable team player
- Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences and spiritual beliefs of residents
- Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
