Housekeeper / Room Attendant

Location: Ballarat, VIC

About the Role:

As a Housekeeper / Room Attendant, reporting to the Housekeeping Team Leader and Operations Manager, you will be an integral part of our commitment to excellence, ensuring every guest room and shared space is pristine, welcoming, and reflects the superior quality that defines Quest Ballarat Station.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and prepare guest rooms to the highest standard, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, sanitising surfaces, and replenishing amenities according to strict company procedures.
  • Maintain impeccable cleanliness in common areas including corridors, windows, and public spaces.
  • Follow all Quest Housekeeping Manual procedures for equipment, chemical handling, and linen care.
  • Promptly report any maintenance or safety issues.
  • Engage professionally and courteously with guests, assisting with basic queries and providing information to ensure an outstanding experience.
  • Cooperate with fellow team members, contribute to a supportive, respectful workplace culture, and attend staff meetings as required.
  • Uphold all occupational health and safety, security, and food safety procedures without exception.

About You:

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning within a hotel or similar environment highly regarded.
  • Certificate in Hospitality (Housekeeping) is advantageous but not essential.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, taking genuine pride in delivering immaculate work every time.
  • Strong verbal communication and outstanding customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexible, reliable, mature, and eager to uphold the premium standards of Quest Ballarat Station.
