Thrive Group Tasmania is a not for not-for-profit Education and Care provider that has been operating in Tasmania since 1975. Thrive started as a Northern Family Day Care Service and we now run a statewide FDC Service. As the organisaion grew we began offering Education and Care services in regional and remote areas where it was not profitable for large providers to go. We nopw operate 9 Early Learning Services in Regional Tasmania (Beaconsfield, Bicheno, Campbell Town, Queenstown, Scottsdale, St Helens, St Marys, Triabunna & Whitemark), 7 with attached Outside School Hours Care Services. We also run 7 school-based OSHC services in the Greater Launceston area (Evandale, Hagley, Invermay, Lilydale, Longford, Riverside & Westbury) and 2 stand-alone OSHC services with school collections (Newstead & Riverside). Thrive is governed by a volunteer board of skilled professionals.

About the Job
Thrive Group are seeking Experienced Early Childhood Teachers to fill our Education Support Officer role. In this role, you will support our Early Learning and OSHC educators to provide children with experiences and support to enable them to grow and thrive. As part of the role you will mentor and support educators to complete their qualifications, review and provide feedback on documentation, provide pedagogical leadership, lead our educational leaders and provide them with professional development. This role would be ideal for a long-term early childhood educator who wants to put their new ECT skills to use in a familiar setting, or for ECTs from a school setting looking for a change of pace.
Role and Responsibilities
Coordinating, supervising and supporting Thrive Group Tasmania's Education Programs across all service types.
Support Thrive's Trainees and educators who are working towards qualifications with their studies.
Support the Early Years and School Aged Care [EYSAC] Leaders and Coordinators and FDC Field Compliance Officers/Educational Leaders by providing hands-on support for the educational programs.
Work with Thrive's smaller Earl Learning Serices (under 24 places) to meet their ECT requirements through physical visits and ICT.
Have sound knowledge of the function of relevant Government departments involved in Early Childhood and Education and Care.
Monitors, records and reports on the quality of the educational programs in Thrive services.
Coordinates and facilitates opportunities for parents and the community to be involved in services educational program.
Assists and supports in the training, in educational fields, of all employees.
Supports employees by identifying training needs and acting as a positive role model for current employees, students and volunteers.
Demonstrates positive role modelling by working "in the care environment" providing hands-on support with EYSAC Educators as required.
In Conjunction with the FDC Manager and/or the EYSAC Manager supervise, support and evaluate staff in accordance with Thrive policies and procedures.
Provides leadership for Educators in the implementation of the National Quality Framework and Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations. Specifically those areas focused on education (QA1,3,5 &6)
Liaises with other professionals to ensure adherence and currency of best practice, National Standards and statutory requirements.
Required Qualifications and Certificates
Current Tasmanian Working With Vulnerable People's Registration
Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Specialisation) or ACECQA-approved equivalent
Mandatory Reporting Certificate (Child Safety) (Training provided)
First Aid in an Education and Care Setting (Training provided)
Safe Sleep Certificate (Training provided)
Safe Food Handling Certificate (Training provided)
Thrive Group Tasmania is eligible and has applied for the Early Childhood Workers Retention Payment. Indicative Salary is without EWRP, Superannuation will be in addition to the below salary.
