The L'Americano Espresso Bar is located at in Balgowlah. Be part of a small knit team in a vibrant food and beverage business. This cafe combines Coco Republic's signature American design aesthetic with an Italian heritage. We are open 7 days a week and we offer an Italian influenced breakfast and lunch menu as well as also holding occasional functions.

The Role - Kitchen Hand is responsible to perform basic kitchen duties as requested by the Chief Steward or Head Chef, including:

  • Work alongside the chef, assisting with food preparation
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen, storage areas, fridges and freezers
  • Clean kitchen equipment, utensils and work areas
  • Casual position

This position is a casual role, with ongoing weekend shifts.

About You

  • Prior experience in a kitchen environment with knowledge of food hygiene
  • Experience in food preparation and cleaning
  • Hard working, physically fit and reliable - able to lift 10-15kgs comfortably
  • Good communication skills
  • In possession of a valid working visa, with availability to work Sat and Sun

Direct B-Line bus (B1 or new 190X) — These frequent buses run from Wynyard Station (Carrington St) to Balgowlah. 25 mins to 30 mins depending on traffic.

Hourly pay rate: Mon-Fri - $31.19 / Sat - $37.43 / Sun - $43.66 / Public Holiday - $62.38
