About the role

  • As a Paediatric Occupational Therapist at Firstchance, you'll be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes Speech Pathologists, Psychologists, Physiotherapists, Specialist Educators, and Family Workers. You'll work alongside experienced colleagues and be supported by a skilled administration and finance team.
  • Your work will include:
  • Providing therapy to children aged 0–12 years and their families in community settings such as homes, early childhood centres, schools, parks, and pools.
  • Supporting children with a range of disabilities including autism, developmental delay, chromosomal disorders, and genetic conditions.
  • Conducting assessments and delivering contextualised strengths based interventions that promote participation, independence, and wellbeing.
  • Collaborating with families to set goals and celebrate achievements.
  • Based at Mayfield and supporting families in the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and Port Stephens Region

Qualifications and experience

  • A Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Working with Children Check
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • First Aid Certificate (including asthma and anaphylaxis)
  • A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle
