Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial statements for presentation to directors, management, shareholders, and statutory bodies.
  • Examine and analyse operating costs and organisational income and expenditure.
  • Maintain and enhance internal control systems.
  • Assist in formulating budgetary and accounting policies.
  • Provide assurance on the accuracy of financial reports and compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Conduct financial investigations, prepare reports, undertake audits, and provide advice on matters such as business purchases/sales, mergers, capital financing, and taxation.
  • Prepare and lodge taxation returns for individuals and organisations.
  • Liaise with financial institutions and brokers to establish fund management arrangements.
  • Introduce and maintain accounting systems and advise on the selection and application of computer-based accounting systems.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in commerce, accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent qualification).
  • Minimum 2–3 years' relevant work experience in an accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and taxation requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as MYOB, Xero, or QuickBooks.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $77,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
