Description
  • Partner with PR agencies and manage external communications vendors
  • Collaborate with social media teams to ensure consistent messaging across channels
  • Work with partners across the business and global comms teams to source communications and original content focused on employee experiences and Amazon's culture.
  • Deliver strategic communications counsel to internal leaders on short and long-term challenges and opportunities
  • Successfully manage complex, fast-moving and often unexpected communications challenges
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of activity and messaging
  • Develop and manage integrated public relations programs that drive awareness of Amazon's positive impact in Australia
  • Build strong relationships with retail, technology, business, career and vertical trade media and other external stakeholders to support corporate reputation goals.
  • Research and integrate industry news, trends and compelling angles into PR programs
  • Write, develop and manage approvals for internal comms, news releases, media advisories, fact sheets and related media materials for Amazon Australia.

Basic Qualifications
  • 7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence cross functionally
  • Proven experience working to develop internal communications strategies

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working across sustainability initiatives
  • Exposure to both agency and in house PR environments
