About the role:

We are seeking a Credentialed Diabetes Educator (Registered Nurse) to provide expert diabetes education and management across both community and hospital in-patient and out-patient settings.

This role provides a diverse service, supporting clients with Type 1 and complex Type 2 diabetes, with increasing numbers of diabetes in pregnancy, clients starting insulin pumps, and requiring continuous glucose monitoring (CGM).

The successful candidate will deliver safe, evidence-based care and act as a clinical resource for patients, families, and healthcare professionals within a growing and diverse diabetes service.

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Ability to meet the NMBA competencies for the Registered Nurse/Midwife & current registration with AHPRA.
  • Post Graduate qualifications in Diabetes Education or working towards and current accreditation with the Diabetes Nurse Educator Association or working towards.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team inclusive of General Practitioners.
