Join our friendly team at the Western Australia Visitor Centre (WAVC) – the official tourism information centre for our beautiful state.

We're looking for a motivated and customer-focused individual to join us as a Casual Visitor Centre Customer Service & Travel Officer.


About the Role

As part of our front-line team, you'll be the welcoming face of Western Australia – assisting visitors from near and far with travel advice, itinerary planning, and tour and accommodation bookings.

Every day is different, from helping a couple plan a road trip along the Coral Coast to suggesting hidden gems around Perth and the South West.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing friendly, professional customer service in person, by phone, and via email
  • Offering up-to-date travel and product information about destinations across Western Australia
  • Making bookings for tours, accommodation, and transport
  • Handling cash and EFTPOS transactions accurately
  • Supporting the Visitor Centre team with administrative and retail tasks

About You

You're a great communicator who thrives in a team environment and enjoys sharing your knowledge of WA. You have a positive attitude and take pride in delivering excellent customer experiences.

To succeed in this role, you'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in customer service, tourism, or travel sales
  • A strong knowledge (or enthusiasm to learn) about Western Australia's regions and attractions
  • Confidence in using booking systems and handling transactions
  • A flexible approach – weekend and public holiday availability is essential
