Teacher - Nursing Clinical Placement

Chisholm is seeking an experienced and student-focused Nursing Clinical Placement Teacher within the Nursing & Clinical Health team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Teacher, Nursing Clinical Placement within the Nursing & Clinical Health business area, your key responsibilities include-

• Delivery training, assessment and supervision within the clinical placement environment for Diploma of Nursing students.
• Validate and review the completed clinical placement logbooks submitted by students within the program
• Plan education practices and delivery sessions that reflect the most effective way to engage learners
• Develop and deliver planned teaching sessions in a variety of innovative and adaptive ways, Ensure that teaching materials and resources meet all regulatory standards, training packages and related requirements
• Establish and maintain a positive learning environment, including encouraging students to take responsibility for their own learning
• Adapt learning and assessment materials to cater for different students, learning environments, facilities, and resources
• Undertake a range of administrative, coordination, and learning services activities directly related to the areas taught
• Assist in relation to the establishment, maintenance, and review of teaching programs
• Maintain a respectful, and safe environment free from violence & aggression, bullying, sexual harassment and discrimination

ABOUT YOU

You are a highly motivated individual with well-developed skills in transferring knowledge, including the ability to research, select and use a wide range of learning resources and assessment tools.

Qualifications required for the role

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or qualifications that meet the RTO Standards
• Vocational qualifications at AQF level Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
• Registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
• Vocational currency as demonstrated through a range of work and related experience
• A record of Vocational Competency, mapped to Units of Competency engaged to deliver
• A record of Professional Currency, demonstrating current industry and teaching knowledge
