Virtus Boats is a new and exciting boat building venture based right here on the Sunshine Coast, backed by First Light Fabrication, an established and award-winning marine manufacturer. We're currently operating from the First Light Fabrication premises as we build and scale the Virtus Boats brand with modern designs, big plans and local manufacturing at its core. And now, we're looking to bring on our first Boat Builder to join us at the very beginning of the journey.

You'll be hands-on in the fabrication and fit-out of high-quality aluminium boats, working closely with the business owners to establish best practices and deliver exceptional builds.

Key duties include:

• Aluminium fabrication and welding (TIG/MIG)
• Hull construction, fit-out and finishing
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Assisting in setting up workshop processes and workflows
• Working with pride, precision and initiative

• Proven experience in aluminium boat building or marine fabrication
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship
• Ability to read and work from CAD/drawing plans
• Someone who takes pride in their craft and enjoys problem-solving
• A team player keen to help build a brand with a big future

• Competitive hourly rate or salary (based on experience)
