About the job

Position:

Senior Software Design Engineer

Location:

Sydney, Melbourne, Kolkata

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and analysis of new algorithms and optimization methods.
  2. Write readable, maintainable, correct, high-quality industrial-strength code in one or more programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, and R.
  3. Write research papers, technical reports, and whitepapers.
  4. Present ideas and solutions to both internal and external teams.
  5. Understand customer requirements by closely working with decision makers and develop use cases for product and solution deployments.

Experience:

  1. 2+ years of experience working as a software engineer, preferably in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Optimization, and Machine Learning software development.
  2. Work experience with startups and SMEs to sell technical products and solutions.

Requirements:

  1. Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
  2. Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
  3. Experience of programming in one or more programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, and R.
  4. Good knowledge of optimization methods like Linear and Integer Programming, and software like CPLEX, Gurobi, and MATLAB.
  5. Sound knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Machine Learning paradigms.
  6. Good knowledge of APIs and system integration.
  7. Focus on customer satisfaction and delivery of projects.
  8. Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
  9. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an outcome-driven team environment.

Education:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or similar programs.
  2. Masters and PhD degree holders in Computer Science will get preference.
