The Opportunity

We at Orchard are currently on the lookout for a talented Mid – Senior Front-end Developer with awesome JavaScript, HTML & CSS skills to work in our development team. Your key functions will range from assisting in project implementations, translating wireframes to production level HTML/CSS/JS, and working on third-party platforms for a range of clients.

Essential Skills

Our ideal candidate will be able to comfortably work in a fast-paced agency environment and be able to provide technical insights and outcomes on creative challenges. While you may not know the answer to all the issues you will face, you will be trusted and supported in finding the solutions.

Code

• 5-7 years' experience in
  HTML & CSS
  development
• 3-5 years' experience in one or more of the following:
• Demonstrated development experience with
  
  , preferably with
  TypeScript
• Demonstrated development experience with React
• Experience with Firebase and Google Cloud Functions
• Experience working with any CMS platform (AEM, Optimizely, Wordpress, Shopify etc)
• Strong knowledge in:
• writing and debugging clean and functional vanilla
  JavaScript
• developing browser-compliant code
• integrating with
  RESTful
  and
  third-party
  APIs
• A strong understanding of
  SEO compliant
  mark-up and best practices
• A strong understanding of
  Accessibility
  standards

Tools

• Git mastery
• Understanding of task runners and bundlers (e.g. Grunt, Gulp, Webpack)
• Can develop in both Windows or iOS environment

• Experience in mobile front-end frameworks such as React Native, Flutter or Ionic.
• WebGL experience
• AR experience
• You have personal projects of your own
• Experience with SSR
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Docker

• Strong demonstrated RequireJS
• AngularVue or React
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience in mobile hybrid applications (e.g. IONIC, PhoneGap)/frontend driven applications (e.g. Ionic, ReactNative)
• WebGL experience Canvas, SVG (preferred)
